About Khonala
Khonala was started by me Besana Motha to share my experience in online marketing and how you can build a successful blog and get traffic. Khonala simply means right here. This blog comes after I have tried several times to make it online, so on this blog I share my personal experiences.
Am I and how did I get started?
I’m a South African guy born in the Province of Mpumalanga and grew up in the rural areas where computers where rare to find. But I manage to get my hands and my mind on how computers work at the right time when everyone was thinking about doing IT to get better job.
Back in 2009 I was a student doing my assignments in computer labs, while there I would see online ads and pay a bit of attention to them. As we all know by that time the internet had already reach Web 2.0. The most ads that caught my attention were on How To Make Money Online.
I eventually tried some surveys then got tired of them, then bloggging caught my attention, then started following a few top bloggers.
Eventually I was done with schooling, then In 2012 I decided to start a blog, but I didn’t really know about how much content I should create. It survived for a year then went under. Mind you in school I majored in Web Development and everything that has to do with Programming. It didn’t interest me that much though, even though most of my post ware programming related at first.
What caught my attention was search engine optimization and internet marketing in general. Although I got small IT jobs in web development for small companies, SEO always found a way to my work schedule. Even though most web development companies don’t consider it that much I saw it’s importance.
Then along the I came even more about pay per click and other types of online advertising. So on this blog I share all my knowledge that I have acquired through out the years. This blog should be one your bookmarked blogs so that you constantly get new post.
Just to answer a few questions about online work including blogging
The most important thing for any site is to get traffic, after getting that traffic then what?
This takes us to monetizing your blog, which confuses most beginners. Stick around for quality posts that will give you insights on how to do it.
Would Blogging or Starting a online business work for you?
That’s a question most people ask themselves, all I can say is that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. It wont happen in one day, it takes time to build.
Do you need technical skills to succeed?
Not really, you can even outsource some of the technical skills online to achieve your goals.
